SEN Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision | Whalley Range | ASAP / September Start
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Alternative Provision setting in Whalley Range. This is a rewarding long-term role supporting young people with a range of additional needs and barriers to learning.
- Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant
- Working within an Alternative Provision setting
- Start date: ASAP or September
- Contract: Long-term, ongoing until the end of the academic year
- Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Daily rate: £102 - £115 per day
- Supporting students with SEMH, behavioural needs, and additional learning needs
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to support engagement and progress
- Assisting teaching staff in delivering tailored learning activities
- Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and personal development
- Experience working with children or young people (SEN/SEMH preferred)
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with vulnerable learners
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Competitive daily rate of £102 - £115
- Long-term, stable placement in a specialist setting
- Supportive and experienced team environment
- Valuable experience working in Alternative Provision and SEN education
- Ongoing support from your dedicated education consultant
