Summary
SEN Teaching Assistant - CirencesterWe are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Cirencester.This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Encourage independence and confidence within the classroom
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN (school-based or transferable experience)
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 TA) are desirable but not essential
