Smart Solutions are recruiting for their client in Rowley Regis for an Operations Assistant role within a busy waste management and recycling operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual looking to join a fast-paced environment supporting day-to-day transport and operational activities.
Shift Pattern:
Week 1: 05:00 – 13:30
Week 2: 07:30 – 16:00
Monday to Friday
1 in 6 Saturdays required
Duties Include:
Coordinating day-to-day planning alongside the Operations Manager
Supporting efficient routing and planning of fleet vehicles
Assisting with daily administrative duties
Acting as the first point of contact for driver queries
Communicating with customers and providing excellent service
Reacting quickly to operational issues and finding solutions
General office and administration duties
Supporting a positive and collaborative team environment
Requirements:
Previous experience within a fast-paced transport or logistics operation
Experience planning and routing fleet vehicles
Strong administration and organisational skills
Excellent communication and telephone manner
Ability to work well within a team environment
Good attention to detail and ability to prioritise workloads
