We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established contractor specialising in social housing repairs and maintenance, who are looking to appoint an experienced Repairs Coordinator to join their growing team.
This is a busy and fast-paced role, ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and has previous experience within social housing, maintenance or repairs coordination.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a busy repairs desk, handling both inbound and outbound calls with tenants, operatives, subcontractors and clients to ensure repairs are scheduled and completed efficiently within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handling a high volume of inbound calls from tenants reporting repairs and maintenance issues
• Making outbound calls to residents, operatives and subcontractors regarding appointments and job updates
• Scheduling and coordinating responsive repairs work
• Prioritising urgent and emergency repairs appropriately
• Updating internal systems with accurate job notes and progress updates
• Liaising with supervisors and engineers to ensure smooth delivery of works
• Monitoring outstanding jobs and chasing updates where required
• Delivering excellent customer service at all times within a busy social housing environment
Candidate Requirements:
• Previous experience within social housing, repairs, maintenance or contractor environments
• Experience working on a busy desk handling both inbound and outbound calls
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good IT and administration skills
• Proactive and professional approach
