Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 5:00pm)

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our growing team based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity for an AAT-qualified or QBE (Qualified by Experience) professional looking to play a key role in supporting the finance function within a busy and dynamic business.This is a fully office-based role (5 days per week), particularly important during the initial onboarding period.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain and analyse financial data using advanced Excel
- Work with finance systems including Sage 200 and SUN (Unit4)
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes
- Provide financial insights and support to the wider business
About You
- AAT qualified or QBE with relevant experience
- Strong experience using Sage or other finance/ accounting systems
- Strong Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills with a proactive approach
