In September 2026 we are thrilled to be opening ‘The Rockpool’, our specialist SEND class for up to 12 Key Stage 1 children with communication and interaction needs, including autism spectrum disorder.

We are therefore seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and highly motivated SEND Teacher to lead learning in this provision.

As a creative, resilient and highly organised practitioner you will:

• Be instrumental in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where strong, trusting relationships enable every pupil to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, regardless of their individual developmental stage.
• Plan and deliver tailored lessons, making learning enjoyable and memorable and stimulating a spirit of enquiry through children’s unique needs and interests • Collaborate closely with the SENDCo to establish and deliver an engaging, effective, and differentiated curriculum that builds strong foundations in communication, regulation, and essential life skills
• Design and maintain an enriched environment that fosters positive peer relationships and encourages and celebrates all means of communication and learning
• Develop and implement targeted SEND plans, in collaboration with the SENDCo, external professionals, and families to ensure holistic support for each pupil
• Work with the SENDCo to ensure our school's inclusion and accessibility policies are rigorously upheld, and that the requirements of the Equality Act (2010) are met through appropriate and effective reasonable adjustments for all pupils
• Attend and contribute to statutory annual reviews • Seek out partnerships to enrich the learning experience, fuel aspirations and enable all children to realise their full potential,
• Nurture our children and families by encouraging a positive self image, a sense of personal responsibility and strong self-worth.
• Show true team player qualities by collaborating with colleagues and participating in the wider life of the school.
• Ensure every day counts for every child.
