Clare House School Porthcawl is seeking to appoint a proactive and organised Estate and Facilities Lead to join our founding team. This is an opportunity to lead the development, maintenance and daily operation of a new school environment from the very beginning, helping create a campus where pupils feel safe, cared for and ready to learn within an environment where every child is celebrated, known and encouraged to thrive.Please read the recruitment pack in the Supporting Documents tab before applying.Role overviewLead the day-to-day management, maintenance and security of the school site and groundsEnsure the campus remains clean, safe, welcoming and aligned to the school’s standards and visionTake a hands-on role in site maintenance, repairs, grounds upkeep and operational problem-solvingLead and support the facilities and cleaning team, ensuring high standards across the school environmentOversee health and safety, compliance, statutory checks and emergency procedures across the siteSupport community use of the campus, including lettings and external partnershipsContribute to the long-term development and sustainability of the school environmentRequirementsRelevant experience in estates, facilities or site managementHealth and Safety qualification such as NEBOSH or equivalentStrong understanding of health and safety legislation, compliance and site operationsExperience managing contractors, procurement, maintenance or operational budgetsAbility to manage operational priorities effectivelyA proactive, organised and solution-focused approach to workRelevant trade experience, such as electrical, plumbing or carpentry work, would be highly desirableUnderstanding of safeguarding responsibilities and commitment to pupil wellbeingWhy join us?You will have the opportunity to contribute to the creation of a new and ambitious school community where relationships, care and wellbeing are central to everyday practice.
