Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference? At Aurora Cedars School, we are looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support our pupils' learning, wellbeing, and personal development within a nurturing and inclusive environment.About the RoleAs a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Inclusion & Pastoral), you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs to thrive both academically and emotionally. You'll work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure every child feels safe, supported, and able to reach their full potential.
What You'll Be Doing Pastoral & Inclusion SupportSupporting pupils' wellbeing, behaviour, and emotional developmentPromoting positive behaviour strategies in line with Behaviour Support Plans (BSP) and risk assessmentsBuilding strong, trusting relationships so pupils feel safe and engagedSupporting personal care needs where requiredContributing to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare at all timesSupporting pastoral systems and attending inclusion meetings Teaching & LearningSupporting the delivery of engaging lessons and learning activitiesWorking with individuals and small groups to reinforce learningAdapting resources and strategies to meet individual needsOccasionally leading group learning or modelling teaching strategiesSupporting EHCP outcomes and pupil development across the curriculum Progress & MonitoringTracking pupil progress and providing meaningful feedbackRecording behaviour, wellbeing, and learning outcomesContributing to reviews, reports, and planningCollaborating with teachers, families, and professionals to support each pupil's journey
About YouWe're looking for someone who is:Qualified to Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent)Experienced working with children with SEN and additional needsConfident managing behaviour, including behaviours that challengePassionate about inclusion, pastoral care, and pupil wellbeingA strong team player with excellent communication skillsPositive, adaptable, and committed to making a difference
