Summary

Leading UK Top 50 law firm seeks an experienced, forward‑thinking AI Technical Lead to join its technology team and shape the firm’s AI‑enabled future. This unique role combines technical leadership with hands‑on delivery, driving practical adoption of AI solutions across a modern, innovation‑focused professional services environment.

Working closely with Product, Development, Data, Security, Knowledge Management and L&D teams, you will turn early experimentation into secure, scalable business capabilities that improve legal workflows, efficiency and user experience. You will focus heavily on implementing and integrating tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Agents, workflow automation and AI‑powered productivity solutions.

Key responsibilities

Design, build and deliver AI‑enabled workflows and integrations across enterprise systems
Support rollout, optimisation and adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot and related AI technologies
Develop secure, auditable, scalable AI‑assisted processes and automation
Collaborate cross‑functionally to align solutions with business and security requirements
Drive adoption and change management through coaching, training and practical support
Evaluate and integrate third‑party AI tools; guide build‑vs‑buy decisions
Write and deploy code for integrations, APIs, automation and workflow improvements
Ensure compliance with governance, security, confidentiality and regulatory standards
Define best practices, quality controls, testing and operational standards for AI delivery
Lead continuous improvement and innovation across the AI technology roadmap

What we’re looking for

Strong hands‑on development skills, ideally in C#/.NET or Python
Proven experience delivering cloud‑native solutions and integrations, preferably on Microsoft Azure
Deep knowledge of APIs, workflows, automation and distributed systems
Practical track record implementing AI features or enhancements in production
Understanding of AI governance, security, testing, validation and operational controls
Experience working in Agile teams with modern tools: Git, CI/CD etc.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills
Ability to translate business needs into secure, scalable technical solutions
Strong analytical and leadership capabilities
Advantageous: background in legal/regulated environments; experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure AI, iManage, Aderant, Intapp or Microsoft Fabric
