Hastings Borough Council is looking for an enthusiastic and community‑focused Parks Development Officer to help shape, improve and champion our parks and open spaces alongside the people who use them.
This role is ideal for someone who believes that great parks are created with communities, not just for them. You will work closely with residents, friends groups, volunteers, councillors, charities and partner organisations to ensure our green spaces reflect local needs, encourage wellbeing, and support biodiversity.
Working within the Parks and Open Spaces team, you will lead on the development of parks and green spaces through strong community involvement. You will support engagement activity, deliver improvement projects, and help communities have a real voice in how local spaces are managed and enhanced.
You will be a key link between the Council and communities, ensuring ideas are heard, relationships are built, and projects are delivered in a collaborative, inclusive and transparent way.
