Salary: M1 (Outer London Pay Scale, £34,514 per annum)

We are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Waltham Forest to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Year 4 for a September 2026 start on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a supportive setting, helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and strong academic foundations as they progress through Key Stage 2.

The role:
You will take responsibility for a Year 4 class, delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that support pupils’ academic progress and personal development. You will be supported by experienced colleagues and benefit from a structured ECT induction programme.

The school is looking for someone who:

Has (or is on track to achieve) QTS
Has a secure understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Is confident delivering English, mathematics, and foundation subjects
Promotes independence, resilience, and a love of learning
Creates a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Maintains high expectations for all pupils
Is reflective, motivated, and eager to develop professionally
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
