Security Systems Engineer
Location: Wolverhampton (covering West Midlands, Staffordshire & Warwickshire)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (flexibility required)
Salary: £30,000 – £38,500 per annum (DOE)
The Role
Our client is a long-established and rapidly growing security systems company based in Staffordshire, is seeking an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join their expanding team.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving the installation, servicing, and maintenance of electronic security and networking systems across a range of client sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions across CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and wireless networking systems.
Working across the West Midlands, Staffordshire, and Warwickshire, this role requires a proactive and reliable engineer who can work both independently and as part of a team, delivering excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Install, service and maintain CCTV, ANPR, Access Control, Intruder Alarm and WiFi systems
Assist with both new installations and reactive service call-outs
Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on security and networking systems
Work with IP-based systems and support basic network configuration
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with company and SSAIB requirements
Communicate effectively with customers, providing professional on-site support
Accurately complete job reports and documentation
Participate in an on-call rota
About You
Previous experience in a similar Systems Engineer / Security Engineer role
Basic IP networking knowledge (minimum 12 months preferred but not essential)
Experience working with CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control or WiFi systems
Reliable, flexible and able to work independently
Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Full clean UK Driving Licence
Due to SSAIB accreditation, the successful candidate will be subject to a full background and DBS check
