This includes neonates, paediatric and adult patients. The job heavily involves, scheduling, booking and liaising with patients using the correct IT systems. It also includes managing waiting lists to ensure people are scheduled in chronological order by clinical priority meeting trust targets where possible and escalating any issues or concerns to management and clinicians. The post requires speaking to patients over the phone and sometimes relaying difficult information regarding a procedure cancellation and requires patience and empathy at all times. The post holder is also responsible for managing the day to day secretarial administrative duties which includes scanning, typing and answering phone calls.
