St Philip Evans Catholic Primary School is a joyful, faith filled community where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. We are looking for a caring, skilled and enthusiastic Senior Teaching Assistant Level 4 / HLTA to join our dedicated team and play a key role in supporting high quality learning at our school, with significant responsibility in our Nursery.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about Early Years. Working under the guidance of senior staff, you will lead learning activities for individuals, groups and, when required, whole classes. You will use your specialist skills to support pupils with a range of needs, contribute to assessment and planning, and help create a warm, purposeful and inclusive learning environment.
You will also play an important role in supporting behaviour, attendance and pastoral systems, building strong relationships with families, and contributing to the development and training of other teaching assistants.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is committed to promoting the Catholic ethos of our school
• Has HLTA status and is registered with the Education Workforce Council
• Brings experience, initiative and a nurturing approach to supporting pupils
• Can plan, deliver and evaluate high quality learning activities
• Works well as part of a team and communicates confidently with staff, families and external agencies
• Has up to date knowledge of Early Years and Welsh Government expectations
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
