Summary

Trainee SEN Teacher

Location: Cranleigh, Surrey (On-site)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM - 4:45 PM

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Training: 100% Fully Funded by the School

Are you a Psychology graduate, an experienced EYFS practitioner, or a Support Worker looking for a definitive, fully funded route into teaching?

Skip the university debt. This pioneering SEN school in Cranleigh is offering a structured 2-year earn-while-you-learn programme that takes you from a 1:1 assistant to a fully qualified Lead Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).

The 2-Year Training & Promotion Pathway

You will not be stuck in one role. This program is a fast-track, step-by-step career progression model:

  1. 1:1 Support Assistant (Learn the fundamentals of autism education)

  2. Qualified Teaching Assistant (TA)

  3. Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

  4. ABA Level 1 Teacher (Specialist Autism Qualification)

  5. Lead Teacher (Achieve your QTS-fully funded)

Why This School is Different

This isn't a mainstream environment. The school specialises in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)-a deeply rewarding, data-driven, and positive approach to teaching children with autism.

  • Strict No-Restraint Policy: The school relies entirely on positive reinforcement. Physical restraint is never used.

  • The Traffic Light System: Every corridor and room features a visual safety system.

  • Small Class Sizes: Max sizes of 6-8 students per class, where every child has dedicated 1:1 support.

  • Ability-Based Learning: Classes are grouped by academic and developmental ability, not by chronological age.

  • World-Class Facilities: Enjoy access to individual classroom sensory rooms, trampolines, and a dedicated yoga studio.

Applicant Requirements

To pass the initial screening, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of experience in UK education, Early Years (EYFS), or children's residential care homes.

  • Education: GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths. A degree or background in Psychology is highly desirable.

  • Right to Work: Valid UK Right to Work with no visa expiration's within the next 12 months (sponsorship is not available for this intake).
