The Role
You will be working within a workshop environment carrying out a variety of production and assembly tasks, including:
- Assembling valves from machined components
- Completing basic functional testing
- General workshop duties such as packing and dispatch
- Supporting additional production processes when required
- Working towards daily team targets
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
There are three departments recruiting. Two roles are more physically demanding and involve manual handling. One role is lighter in nature.
Hours & Pay- Monday to Friday
- 08:30 - 17:00
- £12.94 per hour
- Overtime available and paid at £19.41 per hour
Full training is provided, however candidates must have:
- Some form of assembly or production experience
- Confidence using hand tools (e.g. spanners)
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Strong numeracy and literacy (reading and following job sheets)
- Basic computer/VDU skills for data entry
- A reliable, positive, and team‑focused attitude
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
Attitude and reliability are key.
Location & Travel- Candidates must live locally to Knutsford or have their own transport
- Train transport is not suitable due to distance from the site
- Temporary to permanent roles
- Interviews form part of the selection process
- 10 roles available initially, with strong potential for further growth
