Within Calderdale the Housing Options Team assist members of the public to identify a wide range of tenancy and other housing issues and provide advice and support to residents to remain in their home or find alternative suitable accommodation.
To continue the growth of this service, the Housing Options Team are looking to recruit a Tenancy Relations Officer to support with the delivery advice, support and mediation services to landlords and tenants in the private rented sector, ensuring compliance with housing legislation and promoting good tenancy relations.
The person appointed will ideally have working knowledge of homelessness legislation, landlord and tenant law, an understanding of the issues faced by people at risk of homelessness.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
