SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary Provision

NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a specialist secondary SEN provision in Leeds.

This role involves supporting students aged 11-16 with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, MLD, SEMH and behavioural needs. We are looking for passionate, resilient and dedicated individuals who can build positive relationships and provide consistent support to students both inside and outside of the classroom.

Both supply and full-time opportunities are available, with immediate starts for suitable candidates.
- Supporting students aged 11-16 within a specialist SEN setting
- Working closely with pupils with ASD, ADHD, MLD, SEMH and behavioural needs
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Assisting teachers with classroom management and learning activities
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Helping to create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment
- Previous SEN experience is essential
- Previous secondary school experience is essential
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A calm, patient and adaptable approach
- Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
