We are seeking to appoint a SENDCo and Head of Additional Learning Support (a director-level position), as the current postholder moves on to a new role in neurodiversity within a different sector. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and accomplished teacher with management experience to lead and manage the Additional Learning Support Department at BHASVIC, and to join a highly experienced and affiliative Curriculum and Quality Team (CQT) with responsibility for SEND and inclusion within the curriculum. The composition of this role’s responsibilities can be seen in the organisational diagrams that follow. The successful candidate will teach a minimum of 8contact hours per week.

Status: Permanent and full-time post, terms and conditions are the SFCA’s National Joint Council (NJC) Teaching Staff Terms and Conditions of Service Handbook.
Teaching: You will teach a minimum of 8 contact hours per week
Salary: £64,404 per annum to £67,946 per annum upon experience (based on Teacher Pay Scale at Leadership Grade 1, Spine points 4 to 6). NB: The annual pay rise for academic year 2026/7 is pending.
Pension: You will automatically become members of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) www.teacherspensions.co.uk.
