Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Are you a motivated and resilient Psychology graduate looking to begin a career in education? This is an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge within a practical school setting while making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people.
We are currently working with a well-established SEN school in Manchester (M23), which provides a supportive and structured learning environment for primary-aged pupils with Autism, ADHD, and complex learning needs.
The Role:
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching and support staff to help students access learning and develop key emotional and social skills. Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery of evidence-based interventions focused on emotional regulation and wellbeing
- Assisting with one-to-one and small-group support sessions
- Helping to implement strategies that encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and motivation
- Supporting students with additional learning and behavioural needs in both classroom and wider school settings
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
What We Are Looking For:
- A recent Psychology degree or equivalent qualification
- A genuine interest in child development, educational psychology, and neurodiversity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training within the last 12 months is desirable, although training can be provided
To Be Eligible, You Must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Have an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
- Be able to provide two professional references relating to work with children or young people
