Crynodeb
The post is based at the Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals, part of the Specialist Hospitals Board of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Successful applicants will join a well established team in providing a wide range of complex Prosthodontic and Restorative procedures, including surgical components. They must be experienced in management of patients requiring a multidisciplinary approach, such as (but not limited to) head and neck cancer, hypodontia and dental trauma. Applicants will be expected to have excellent communication skills and some further postgraduate experience in this field. They should demonstrate evidence of both team working and leadership skills.
Candidates should ideally be on/ eligible for the Specialist Register in Restorative Dentistry/ Prosthodontics or at the minimum demonstrate further postgraduate training in this discipline.

Direct Clinical Care Activities
1. Provide care for patients requiring complex restorative/ prosthodontic rehabilitation and multidisciplinary care.
2. Support the Clinical Lead and rest of team to ensure that departmental service and quality standards and targets are fulfilled.
3. Participate in the training activities of the Department and potentially supervise the clinical work of trainees.
4. Assist with the development of the clinical service in the Department and help to foster good relationships between the Department and other practitioners
Other Programmed Activities
1. To undertake administrative duties in the Department and Division as required by the Clinical Lead.
2. To ensure that patient management issues relating to clinical effectiveness are in place.
3. To undertake an active part in the audit activities of the Department.
4. Work effectively as part of a Department with both an NHS and an academic component. and foster effective collaboration with all hospital and academic staff in the Department, Division, Hospital and Institution at large.
5. Assist and participate in the continuing professional development activities of the Department.
6. To undertake mandatory training and continuing professional development as required by the Trust.
7. To attend and assist the delivery of local and divisional governance meetings and comply with and promote all clinical governance protocols and standards
