This is a unique opportunity to shape a trauma-informed, relational approach to behaviour while improving staff confidence, student safety and engagement.

About the Role
As Behaviour & Attendance Lead, you will act as a lead practitioner for behaviour and regulation, supporting both staff and students to achieve positive outcomes. You will balance hands-on incident support with strategic, preventative work, ensuring consistent and safe practice across the school.

Key aspects of the role include:
• Leading behaviour support during high-risk incidents and promoting de-escalation strategies
• Coordinating post-incident reviews and analysing behaviour data to reduce risk
• Supporting staff to develop and implement effective behaviour plans and risk assessments
• Delivering training and coaching, including becoming a NAPPI (Non Abusive, Psychological and Physical Information) Trainer
• Providing targeted interventions to improve pupil attendance
• Working closely with safeguarding teams and contributing to multi-agency work
• Supporting pupils directly to develop regulation and engagement skills

• Can analyse behaviour patterns and implement effective preventative strategies
• Has excellent communication, coaching and record-keeping skills
• Can influence, support and develop staff practice

Qualifications:
• Relevant qualification in education, SEND or behaviour (e.g. HLTA or equivalent experience)
• NAPPI Trainer qualification (or willingness to achieve upon appointment)
• Restrictive Physical Intervention experience is desirable

Why Join Edgewood School?

You will:
• Help reduce incidents and improve staff wellbeing
• Strengthen safeguarding and behaviour systems across the school
• Play a vital role in improving pupil engagement and outcomes
