Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a teacher who:
• Has a good knowledge and understanding of the KS2 curriculum, including good personal subject and pedagogical knowledge.
• Is committed to professional development and works well with colleagues to continuously reflect on and improve their own knowledge and skills
• Has a proven track record of raising attainment and accelerating progress for all children, including SEND and the most able
• Has an engaging and dynamic style of teaching which fosters independence and resilience
• Is able to make the most of our coastal and rural setting to give excellent opportunities to all children
• Has high standards for behaviour and high expectations of what children can achieve
• Is able to build good relationships with the whole school community to help keep children safe and ensure that they thrive academically and personally
• Is able to contribute to subject leadership
Desirable:
• Experience of teaching a mixed age class
• Any outdoor teaching qualification or experience, e.g. Forest Schools or Beach Schools

This role is a maternity cover in a mixed age class of Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 children.
