It is situated on the southern side of the University campus half a mile from the city centre. Training of the dental team includes not only Undergraduate and Postgraduate Dental programmes, but also education for Dental Nurses, Dental Technicians, Dental Hygienists and Therapists offering vital team working experience. The University of Leeds School of Dentistry is led by the Dean Dr Alan Mighell. To contribute to the clinical treatment of complex, multi-disciplinary cases. To contribute to the maintenance and further development of excellence in teaching quality including clinical teaching in the Orthodontic Department at Leeds Dental Institute for postgraduate students. To inspire our trainees to develop to their full potential. To deliver care for Orthodontic patients at Leeds Teaching Hospitals by contributing to the following: Out-patient new patient and treatment clinics Supervising of Resident dentists/Orthodontic Therapists/Orthodontic nurses Contributing to Specialist Multi-disciplinary teams-Joint Orthodontic/Paediatric/Restorative MDT clinic. Treatment of sleep apnoea patients To link with Consultant colleagues in other relevant specialist teams within the Leeds Dental Institute and across the trust. To contribute to research, teaching and new developments within the Leeds Dental Institute. The post holder will be encouraged to facilitate and contribute to the current clinical research programs on-going in the Orthodontic Department.
