We are seeking an exceptional and dedicated teacher who is passionate about ensuring children with complex additional needs receive outstanding teaching, meaningful relationships, and every opportunity to succeed.

We believe every child deserves to feel valued, supported, and able to achieve their full potential. Our specialist provision offers a highly structured, nurturing, and personalised environment designed to meet the needs of pupils with significant additional needs.

We are currently looking for a committed and compassionate teacher to join our specialist provision, Bumblebee Class, which supports pupils with complex communication and interaction needs.

Bumblebee Class provides a carefully designed learning environment that focuses on:
- A calm, consistent, and nurturing atmosphere
- Highly personalised learning pathways
- Strong routines and predictable structure
- Development of communication, independence, and emotional regulation
- Positive, supportive relationships built by skilled and caring adults
- High expectations and ambitious outcomes for all learners

Our work is underpinned by the TMET CARE values:

Bumblebee Class supports pupils with significant communication and interaction needs, requiring practitioners who are calm, reflective, emotionally aware, and consistently ambitious.

This role is rooted in the understanding that excellent SEND practice is built on strong relationships, clear structure, and purposeful communication. You will be joining a team deeply committed to inclusion, high expectations, and ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.

You will be part of a supportive, collaborative, and values-driven team where:
- Relationships are central to everything we do
- Staff wellbeing is actively supported and prioritised
- Professional development is continuous and highly valued
- Inclusion is embedded across all areas of school life
- Every child is known, valued, and supported

We are committed to making a difference every child, every lesson, every day.

We welcome applications from practitioners who can demonstrate:
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people
- A caring, professional, and flexible approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team

We are seeking an outstanding classroom practitioner who can:
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching for pupils with additional needs
- Create a calm, structured, and engaging learning environment
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and professionals
- Support communication, emotional regulation, and independence
- Work collaboratively within a highly supportive team
- Champion inclusion and high expectations for all learners

Experience within SEND or specialist provision is highly desirable. We are particularly interested in candidates who:
- Have experience supporting pupils with autism and communication needs
- Understand relational and regulation-based approaches
- Can balance nurture with consistent, high-quality classroom practice
- Believe in ambitious outcomes for children with additional needs
- Thrive in a reflective, team-oriented environment

Above all, we are looking for someone who shares our vision, values, and commitment to ensuring every child can succeed.

The Mead Educational Trust (TMET) is a growing family of schools united by a shared commitment to exceptional education and improving life chances for all pupils.

As part of TMET, you will benefit from:
- High-quality professional development, coaching, and career progression opportunities
- Collaboration across a strong network of passionate education professionals
- A clear commitment to staff wellbeing and work-life balance, including access to the Vivup Employee Assistance Programme
- Strong, values-led leadership and a shared commitment to meaningful impact in education

We are an inclusive employer and welcome applications from all backgrounds and levels of experience. We believe every child deserves an outstanding education, and every colleague deserves to feel supported, valued, and inspired.

The Mead Educational Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment.

All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check with barred list clearance. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2025, we will also carry out:
- Online searches for shortlisted candidates
- Verification of employment history, references, and eligibility to work in the UK

We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer.
