Junior Purchasing Assistant
£22,003.80 per annum | £10.85 per hour - National Minimum Wage from 1st April 2026.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a school leaver, college graduate, or someone looking to begin or build a career in a fast-paced office and purchasing environment. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Location: Aldridge, Walsall
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8am to 5pm (with a 4pm finish on a Friday) | 39 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing supplier orders and supporting the end-to-end purchasing process
Monitor stock levels and highlight any shortages or potential issues
Maintain accurate purchasing records and update systems accordingly
Create and maintain reports using Excel to support decision-making
Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Support the resolution of supplier queries, delays, or order issues
Provide general administrative support to the purchasing and wider office team
What We’re Looking For
Strong numeracy and literacy skills (Maths and English essential)
Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
Business A-Level (or equivalent) preferred but not essential
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities
