We’re recruiting a Painter / Decorator to join our on‑site facilities team at HMP Full Sutton, a well‑run prison site just outside York.
What’s on offer
£17,718 – £20,635
24 hours per week – Monday to Wednesday, 08:00–16:30
Occasional weekend work (1 in 3) paid at +15% of the base salary allowance
Long‑term, stable role with Amey

Planned and reactive painting and decorating
Commercial environment – no private customers
Working safely to site procedures
Supporting prisoners involved in decorating work
What you’ll need
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting & Decorating
Comfortable working in a prison environment, alongside prisoners
Good understanding of health & safety
Prison security clearance, Standard DBS and Counter Terrorism Check required – fully supported by Amey.
