We are currently recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to support children and young people within SEN, SEMH, and alternative provision settings across Bristol.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people who may struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour, engagement in education, or additional learning needs.
Unlike short-term agency cover, our placements focus on consistency and relationship-building, giving staff the opportunity to make a meaningful long-term impact within schools and specialist settings.
The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support both inside and outside the classroom.
You will help students:
- Build confidence and resilience
- Improve engagement with learning
- Develop positive relationships
- Regulate emotions and behaviour
- Access education in a safe and supportive environment
You may support students on a 1:1 basis or within small groups depending on the setting.
Ideal Experience
We welcome applicants from backgrounds including:
- Youth work
- Support work
- Residential care
- Sports coaching
- SEN support
- Mental health support
- Behaviour mentoring
- Teaching assistant experience
Experience working with children or vulnerable young people is highly desirable.

- Calm, resilient, and empathetic individuals
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- Ability to remain positive in challenging situations
- Full driving licence is beneficial but not essential
