Join Sodexo as a Casual Food Service Assistant at Swizzels and be part of a team delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced and supportive environment. You will play an important role in maintaining the quality and hygiene of the food cycle, from goods receipt through to service delivery, while ensuring full compliance with Sodexo standards and all relevant food hygiene, Health & Safety, and Environmental regulations.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare, cook, present, and serve food for breakfast, vending, and hospitality services to a consistently high standard
- Ensure food preparation, production, and presentation comply with company procedures and Sodexo standards at all times
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment across kitchen, counter, storage areas, and equipment
- Comply fully with food hygiene, Health & Safety, Environmental regulations, and complete all required documentation accurately
- Manage food quality and hygiene throughout the full food cycle, from delivery and storage to service, including stock rotation (FIFO)
- Support smooth service delivery by working flexibly across areas, engaging with customers professionally, and contributing to team briefings and continuous improvement
What you bring:
- A recognised catering qualification and valid food safety certificate
- Passion for delivering high-quality food to a consistently high standard
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen or catering environment
- Strong communication skills with a clear customer-focused approach
- Good understanding of and commitment to health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team
- Proactive mindset, with the confidence to ask questions, clarify understanding, and support a strong safety-first culture
