Reporting to: The Employer
Location: London, SE8
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is an 18-year-old female living in the SE8 area of London who is a wheelchair user that suffers with seizures.
We are looking for reliable, compassionate carers to support a client in the SE8 area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking regular, long shifts with consistent work. A calm and confident approach is essential.
Main duties:
Social duties:
Supporting daily routines and community access
Light household duties
Providing attentive and person-centred care
Monitoring wellbeing and responding appropriately to needs
These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Values: We are looking for someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel and understands equality & diversity.
Specific requirements: English must be first language as clear communication is essential. Must be comfortable around dogs. Basic First Aid knowledge. Physically fit and able to push a wheelchair.
Hours of work: Hours vary – times & days to be discussed at interview
Rate of pay: £13.85 per hour
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
Willingness to learn seizure management (training/support provided)
Basic first aid knowledge
Strong communication skills
Good at building relationships
Reliable, committed, and able to work long/regular shifts
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
