Location- Rotherham, South Yorkshire
We're looking for a friendly and reliable learning support assistant to join a welcoming college team in Rotherham. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with additional learning needs, helping them build confidence, independence and essential life skills in a college environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing classroom and 1:1 support to students with additional needs
- Encouraging independence, confidence and participation
- Supporting students academically, socially and emotionally
- Helping create a safe, inclusive and engaging work environment
- Working closely with tutors and wider support staff
We'd truly love to hear from people who:
· Have UK experience supporting young people and vulnerable adults
· Are naturally patient, approachable and empathetic
· Bring enthusiasm, resilience and professionalism to the job
Requirements
- Education: GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Experience: Previous experience working with young people or vulnerable adults is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent communication, patience, and the ability to adapt to changing classroom environments.
- Compliance: Must hold or be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
You must hold a right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role.
