Location: Scarborough TEC


TEC Partnership is made up of four colleges, two training providers, a 14-16 provision and a nursery, stretching from Scarborough to Skegness with a Nottingham based campus also.

We are now looking for someone who shares that commitment to join us in the role of Admissions and Bursary Advisor.


About the role


As an Admissions and Bursary Advisor, you will provide high‑quality information, advice, guidance and administrative support across our admissions and learner financial support services. You will help learners navigate their journey into education by offering exceptional customer service and accurate, timely processing of applications and bursary support. This is a highly rewarding role where you will make a meaningful difference to learners by ensuring they receive the right support at the right time.


What you'll be doing:


Providing accurate advice and guidance to prospective and existing learners, parents, tutors and external agencies.
Processing learner applications.
Administering financial support funds.
Maintaining high-quality standards across Learner Services environments.
Contributing to college events such as open evenings.
Promoting and role modelling our core values.

About the person


The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong organisational and administrative skills. You will need a positive, flexible attitude and willingness to embrace change and the ability to build effective, trusting relationships with learners and staff.


Candidates will also need to have:


Confidence with ICT systems and able to use new technologies effectively.
A proven track record in administrative support (essential).
Experience in customer-facing or advisory roles (desirable).
Level 3 qualification and Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (or equivalent)
Customer Service qualification or experience.
NVQ Level 3 in Information, Advice and Guidance—or willingness to work towards.
