Summary
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning & Hygiene
Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and storage areas
Dispose of waste correctly and ensure bins are kept clean and emptied regularly
Follow all food hygiene and health & safety regulations (e.g., HACCP standards)
Kitchen Support
Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks (e.g., peeling, chopping, and ingredient prep)
Help with deliveries by checking, unloading, and storing stock properly.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, operational, and stored correctly.
Restock kitchen supplies and maintain inventory levels where required.
General Duties
Keep dishwashing area organised and hygienic at all times.
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Report any breakages, maintenance issues, or safety concerns.
Follow hotel policies and procedures at all times.
Skills & Requirements
No formal qualifications required; training is typically provided
Basic understanding of food hygiene (Level 1 Food Safety preferred)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Good attention to detail and cleanliness
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
