Harmony Energy is one of Europe's leading developers of renewable energy infrastructure and we are looking for a Finance Apprentice to join our Finance Team in our Knaresborough office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking an entry into a career in finance and you will be working closely with the finance team to provide support across a wide range of finance related functions. Alongside your practical experience you will complete a structured apprentice programme building the technical and professional skills required to succeed in a career in finance.

About the role
We are looking for a Finance Apprentice to join our Finance Team. Based in our Knaresborough office the Finance Apprentice will be an integral member of the Finance Team reporting to the Finance Manager.
A genuine interest in renewable energy is desirable.
Key responsibilities:
• Preparation of management information
• Responsible for month end accounting including posting journals, P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting preparation of cashflow forecasts and budgets
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Providing support to tax advisers for corporation tax returns
• Assisting with preparation of statutory accounts
• Supporting audit processes for Group Companies
• Identifying and delivering process improvements and introductions of control where necessary
• Any other duties that may reasonably be required within their role
Future Prospects:
Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, the role offers the opportunity to step into other roles within the finance team.
Training Provided: BPP apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry-experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace. Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Personal Qualities:
Punctuality, attention to detail, analytical mindset, organisational skills, problem-solving and critical thinking, strong communication skills, adaptable, ability to work in teams
Qualifications Required: A levels grade C or higher, English and Maths GCSE grade 6(B) or higher
