Duties of a Service Technician:
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Conduct vehicle inspections, diagnose faults, and identify components requiring repair or replacement
- Assist with general mechanical repairs as needed, ensuring high standards of workmanship
- Maintain accurate records of jobs undertaken and workshop documentation
- Work efficiently within a team to meet deadlines and deliver excellent customer service
- Ensure all work is completed to comply with legal and safety standards
Requirements of a Service Technician:
- Level 2 automotive qualification recognised within the industry; Level 3 qualification preferred
- Previous experience as a Service Technician or Vehicle Technician within a workshop environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various makes and models
- Reliable, motivated, and capable of working independently and within a team
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Full UK driving licence is essential
