Summary
Having secured additional resource and funding, this is an exciting time for plan-making in Cheshire East as we begin delivery of our 'new style' Local Plans and an excellent opportunity has arisen to join us as a Principal Minerals, Waste & Infrastructure Officer. This is a full time role (37 hours) within the Strategic Planning Team, leading on development of our Minerals and Waste Local Plan and playing a key role in managing our NSIP responsibilities. In this role you will manage a small team focused on minerals, waste and infrastructure matters with a remit that will mean close working with our Development Management experts.

Provide expert advice on NSIPs, supporting our development management function
Work across Strategic Planning and Development Management teams to deliver specialist support and advice

Have extensive experience in planning with with a portfolio of work covering complex minerals, waste and infrastructure matters.
Have the ambition and drive to manage a critical area of work for the council
Have a degree in your specialist area and be a member of a relevant professional body
