Help children find their voice in a calm, caring specialist setting
High Hazels Academy is a warm, vibrant and ambitious junior school at the heart of the Darnall community, where strong relationships, inclusion and teamwork shape daily life. Recently recognised in a very positive Ofsted inspection (June 2025), our school is a place where children are known, valued and supported to thrive, and where staff feel genuinely cared for and listened to. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Assistant to join our Ruby High Needs Hub, working alongside our Speech and Language Therapist and experienced SEND team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a small child centred provision, supporting 8 pupils, all of whom have autism and/or speech, language and communication needs during the morning. In the afternoons, the role will involve delivering targeted speech and language support for individual pupils across the infant phase, helping to reinforce strategies and promote communication development more widely.
“Pupils are happy and safe in this warm, cheerful and welcoming school.”
“Staff are cared for by a school that considers their workload and well‑being.”
