Summary
Registered Practitioner (appropriate to branch). NMC registration or GMC registration Degree/Masters level study, or equivalent specialist study / experience. Practitioner Qualification Clinical Skills Course. Extended Prescribing if relevant to role. Recent experience as a clinical practitioner, including extended clinical practice underpinned by training and assessment e.g. venepuncture, cannulation skills and intravenous drug administration. The ability to practice at a level comparable to a junior doctor i.e. clinical history taking and physical examination skills, or willingness to work towards this. Extensive post registration experience, some of which will be at a senior level within the required specialist area of practice. Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development. Able to work independently and across disciplines as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Evidence of good communication and interpersonal skills including effective report writing Meets NMC/ GMC requirements for mentorship if relevant to role. Effective organisation and time management skills Change management skills and involvement in project work. Knowledge and understanding of relevant NHS policy or project specific policy context. Evidence of effective leadership skills/knowledge e.g. Leadership course (LEO). Good IT skills. Research or audit experience. Knowledge and experience of adult/child safeguarding
