Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly experienced, values-driven individual to join our Board as an Associate Non-Executive Director.
This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the strategic leadership and governance of one of the largest and most ambitious NHS trusts in the country. As an Associate Non-Executive Director, you will bring independent judgement, strategic insight, and constructive challenge to support the Board in setting the Trust’s strategic direction and maintaining the highest standards of governance.
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who are new to NHS non-executive roles and do not at this point have the background to apply for a standard non-executive role. The ideal appointee will have strong roots in north east London, enhance the diversity of our board, bring experience of working in the NHS or university sector and demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
This position is intended to provide a stepping stone for a career in NHS non-executive roles to individuals who can broaden the background and skills mix of our board.

You will bring:
Knowledge of the experience of living in north east London gained through living and working in the area
A strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing integrated care.
Strategic thinking, sound judgement and the ability to influence effectively.
The confidence to provide independent support and constructive challenge.
A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
A passion for improving patient outcomes and reducing health inequalities.
Previous board experience is welcome but not essential. We encourage applications from individuals with a broad range of professional and lived experience.
