Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to help realise our vision for Larkrise Primary School? Whether you have prior experience or are completely new to a career in education, we want to hear from you. We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our team, working closely with our expert SENCO team to support children with additional needs.
Larkrise is a school where 98% of parents would recommend us to others and 100% of staff feel their work has a strong purpose. Do you want a role where you will make a significant difference in children’s lives and futures? We need excellent practitioners with vision and a passion for working with our children.
In this role, you aren’t just an apprentice; you are a professional partner in a child’s journey of discovery. Whether you are helping a child regulate their emotions through play or supporting a creative project, your impact will be felt every day.
The "Why Us" Difference
● Professional Agency: Work with an experienced mentor who trusts your input.
● Shared Growth: We provide 7.2 hours of dedicated, paid "off-the-job" study time every week.
● A Dynamic Environment: You will be immersed in our "Inspire Curriculum," organised into specialised teams: STEM, Cultural, Creative Arts, Environmental, and Mind, Body & Soul. Your week could range from enquiry-led Geography field trips to Oxford’s rivers to supporting specialist Art & Design sessions. As a School Games Gold school, we empower pupils through initiatives like Forest School, Eco-Council, and our "Power of the Pen" projects.
● Flexible Working: We are a workload-sensitive employer; please talk to us about how this role can work for you.
What You’ll Bring
● A genuine interest in how children learn and a desire to help them reach their full potential.
● The resilience and empathy needed to support children who may find some situations challenging.
● A "can-do" attitude and a willingness to engage with our "Inspire Curriculum."
● Commitment to completing the 15–18 month training programme (Level 3 Teaching Assistant).
