Head Chef

We are seeking a Head Chef to lead a busy on-site restaurant at a manufacturing location, serving between 230 and 290 customers per day across breakfast and lunch sittings.​

The operation runs Monday to Friday, delivering a full English breakfast and a structured lunch offer alongside grab-and-go and vending services.

Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on professional who will take full responsibility for the kitchen operation, leading the team from the front while maintaining high standards of food quality, service and compliance.​

This role has a strong focus on organisation, planning and commercial control to support growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Organise and control all aspects of the kitchen and catering operation.

Lead, supervise and support the kitchen team in daily food production.

Deliver a high-quality breakfast and lunch offer in line with agreed menus.

Plan menus and food production in line with budgets and client requirements.

Order food and manage suppliers in line with nominated supply chains.

Ensure all food is prepared and presented to company and client standards.

Maintain stock control and minimise waste.

Ensure full compliance with food safety, company and statutory regulations.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Previous experience in a Head Chef or Chef Manager role, or a Chef ready to step up.

Strong background in hospitality food production.

Ability to work unsupervised and take full ownership of the catering operation.

Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Clean, well-presented and professional approach.

Pleasant, engaging and effective team leader.

Reliable and committed with a hands-on attitude.
