Salary: £27,864.20 pro rata
Hours: 21 hours per week
Based: Derby (with travel across YMCA Derbyshire sites)
Temporary Contract until 31st March 2027
For an informal chat please contact: Ellie Mallinson ellie.mallinson@ymcaderbyshire.org.uk
The Role In A Nutshell
This role is part of the YMCA Derbyshire Lifelong Learning offer in connection with the Youth Guarantee.
You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering bootcamp style eight-week courses for young people who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or training) one with a focus on Business Admin and another with a focus on Customer Service (including elements of Retail and Hospitality). There will also be elements of general employability skills to help these young people gain sector specific skills knowledge and attributes they will require to access local jobs and hopefully move into employment. You will also be a supporting staff member on our other subject specific bootcamps, getting involved and encouraging participation.
This will involve working as part of a team to provide practical and theoretical support but also to make sessions fun and exciting to promote engagement and motivation, as well as giving these young people a voice.
