Crynodeb
This role involves assessing adults for ADHD, considering other conditions to make accurate diagnostic decisions. You will use your clinical expertise to determine and initiate treatments for ADHD.
• Provide comprehensive expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of Adults with ADHD across the RDASH localities. Review with others the assessment and monitoring of adults identified with ADHD.
• Provide direct nursing judgement and treatment interventions based on skills and knowledge regarding clinical management and educational management of adults with ADHD
• Exercise Independent prescribing rights using guidelines and protocols
• Ensure that the patient’s interests are fully considered within the context of care, actively participating in ethical decision making within the multi-disciplinary team.
• Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge of patients.
• To undertake risk assessments and risk management for individuals and their families.
• To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and issues in relation to ADHD.
• To provide high quality support and advice to health and other professionals
• To supervise the implementation and monitoring of new developments in ADHD.
