Are you a newly qualified teacher ready to begin your Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction? About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to secure a long-term or permanent position and complete their ECT induction in a structured, nurturing environment. You will be supported by an experienced mentor, benefit from a reduced timetable in line with statutory requirements, and have access to regular professional development throughout your induction period.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons appropriate to your subject specialism and key stage
• Work closely with your ECT mentor and induction coordinator to meet the Teachers' Standards
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports pupils of all abilities
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning
• Participate in whole-school activities including parents' evenings, meetings, and CPD sessions
• Adapt your practice in response to observations, feedback, and ongoing reflection
Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) awarded within the last 12 months, or due to complete imminently
• Enthusiasm, resilience, and a genuine commitment to improving pupil outcomes
• Good communication and relationship-building skills with pupils, staff, and parents
• Enhanced DBS (on Update Service) required prior to starting
