We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary SEN school in Rochdale this September. This is a full-time position supporting students aged 11-16 with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive and well-resourced school environment.
- Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, tailored lessons
- Help manage behaviour and support emotional regulation
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
- Provide personal care where required (PMLD support)
- Work closely with teaching staff and external professionals
- Previous experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
- Understanding of ASC, SEMH or PMLD (training can be provided)
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- Full-time, long-term role (no part-time availability)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
