KPi Education are currently working alongside several primary schools across Sheffield and Rotherham to recruit Graduate Primary Teaching Assistants for a long-term, full-time roles starting in September 2026.
These opportunities are ideal for graduates passionate about education and eager to gain invaluable school-based experience before progressing into teacher training or a wider career within education.
Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – The Role
As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced class teachers to support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Delivering targeted literacy and numeracy interventions
• Providing classroom support during lessons and activities
• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and learning resources
• Supporting children with additional learning needs where required
This is a highly rewarding role where you will quickly become an important part of school life and make a genuine impact on pupils' academic progress and personal development.
Who We're Looking For
We are particularly keen to hear from graduates who have achieved a 2:1 degree or above in:
• Core Subjects (English, Maths or Science)
• Psychology
• Education and Early Years Studies
• Other related academic subjects
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
• A genuine passion for working with children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
• A desire to pursue a career within education
Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
