This is primarily an office-based administration role, supporting the smooth operation of Design & Build UK, Women in Construction Awards and WiC Hub. Alongside the day-to-day administration, you will also help support the planning and delivery of industry events, awards ceremonies and networking activities throughout the year.
The role would suit somebody who enjoys being organised, likes variety in their work and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
What you'll be doing
Managing company inboxes and responding to enquiries.
Answering incoming calls and assisting customers, clients and suppliers.
Maintaining CRM systems, databases and company records.
Preparing letters, reports, spreadsheets and business documents.
Supporting invoicing, payment chasing and general administration.
Managing diaries, meeting bookings and office schedules.
Ordering office stationery, supplies and consumables.
Ensuring the office remains organised and well stocked.
Supporting the directors with day-to-day administrative tasks.
Following up outstanding actions and helping keep projects on track.
Assisting with event administration, including delegate registrations, guest lists and attendee communications.
Liaising with venues, suppliers, sponsors and event attendees.
Supporting the organisation and delivery of awards ceremonies, networking events and business functions.
Assisting with newsletters, email campaigns and occasional social media activity.
What we're looking for
A highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail.
A confident communicator with a professional telephone manner.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Someone who is proactive and enjoys taking ownership of tasks.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and remain organised under pressure.
A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
Previous administration experience is preferred.
Experience supporting events or customer-facing activities would be advantageous but is not essential.
What you'll get
A varied role where no two days are the same.
The opportunity to work on nationally recognised industry events and awards.
A supportive working environment.
Real responsibility from day one.
Career progression opportunities as the business continues to grow.
Salary dependent on experience.
To apply, please send your CV together with a short covering email explaining why you would be a good fit for the role.
