Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting pupils with complex needs?
We are currently working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Clayton, Manchester, seeking a dedicated Complex Needs SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full-time, long-term position ongoing until the end of the academic year, offering the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional and complex learning needs.
Role Details:
- Full-time position
- Monday to Friday
- Working hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Daily pay: £102 - £115 per day
- September start
- Primary school setting
- Long-term ongoing until the end of the academic year
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with complex needs, including Autism, communication difficulties, and learning disabilities.
- Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning plans.
- Assisting with personal care needs where required.
- Implementing EHCP targets and specialist support strategies.
- Supporting pupils' emotional regulation, engagement, and social development.
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally within a complex needs or specialist setting.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism, PMLD, or significant learning needs (desirable).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
