Summary

Teaching Assistant

Could you help KS2 pupils feel more prepared and less anxious before SATs? Are you looking for a classroom role that gives you valuable upper primary experience before moving into teacher training?

*** KS2 support in preparation for exams in May 2027

The Role:
Work closely with KS2 pupils through a combination of classroom support, 1:1 help, and small-group intervention in the lead-up to SATs. You will help children strengthen reading, SPaG, and Maths, reinforce learning from lessons, prepare simple revision resources, and support the class teacher in building confidence ahead of the May 2027 assessments.

The Candidate:
You are organised, encouraging, and able to explain things clearly to older primary pupils. You want meaningful school-based experience, enjoy helping children improve in core subjects, and are keen to build the practical classroom skills needed for a future in teaching.

Requirements

- Degree – A 2:2 or above in a creative subject.
- Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Career Goals – A desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.
