Job Description
As a Support Worker, you will bring compassion, motivation, and reliability to our dedicated care team. In this rewarding and impactful role, you will play a vital part in delivering person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, empowering them to lead independent, fulfilling lives.
This role involves supporting Service Users with daily living tasks and accompanying them to planned activities, appointments, and social outings; all with the aim of promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Supporting Service Users with everyday tasks:
o Domestic chores (e.g. cleaning, laundry)
o Meal preparation
o Personal care
o Budgeting and money management
o Engaging with the local community and accessing amenities
• Following and implementing personalised support plans to help individuals achieve their goals and aspirations
• Delivering high-quality, person-centred care
• Work collaboratively with families, in-house teams, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each Service User
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records, including:
o Daily notes
o Medication administration records
o Risk assessments
o Incident and accident reports
Essential
• A compassionate, empathetic, and respectful approach to care
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
• Willingness to learn and undertake full training
Desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence
